The Future of Wireless Microphones and other devices

Wireless devices that have been in use for some years have been operating as secondary services (meaning that they may not interfere with other services and must accept whatever interference to their operation exists) in the unused gaps in the frequencies between the carrier signals of analog TV signals.  With the transition to digital TV broadcasting, those gaps no longer exist within the channels, and operation of a wireless system within an active DTV channel may cause unacceptable interference to nearby TV receivers, and the wireless device may become unusable..
